ANTHONY DAVIS --

If you’re gonna lie, then don’t involve any BSO detectives.

[cleeng_content id="818395792" description="Why stop now? It's just getting interesting!" price="9.99" referral="0.10"]Apparently, Deerfield Beach’s Pastor Anthony Davis didn’t get that memo.

From yesterday’s Pastorbation story, we chronicled Matt Hendley’s 2011 New Times article:

New Times asked Davis last week if he could respond to the accusation that he omitted information about his assets from the grant application.

Davis said there was an inquiry from the Broward Sheriff’s Office — Davis’ former employer — but he said they found no wrongdoing on his behalf.

Oh really, you don’t say?

Hey, let’s ask BSO (our third request) for any evidence of an inquiry.

Hey Jim;

Hope all is well…

I am chasing a story (you and I have been here before) that involves former Pompano cop Anthony Davis — now under investigation by the US DOJ OIG.

About a year ago, the New Times wrote this:

New Times asked Davis last week if he could respond to the accusation that he omitted information about his assets from the grant application.

Davis said there was an inquiry from the Broward Sheriff’s Office — Davis’ former employer — but he said they found no wrongdoing on his behalf.

Given what’s happening with Davis (DOJ and maybe SAO investigation), can I ask you to officially comment on the above?

BSO’s response:

Chaz,

Anthony Davis was never a BSO deputy sheriff. When BSO merged with Pompano Beach on 8/1/99 Davis came over in the transition as a code inspector. He held that position for about seven months and resigned 4/26/00. We have no details regarding an investigation.

JL

No details regarding an investigation.

See, I told you so.[/cleeng_content]
