Please tell me you were misquoted in one of the two articles cited below. Otherwise by your own admission, you have already violated the FL. Sunshine Laws!

In the 8/7 Sun Sentinel, you are quoted as saying that I’m not going to tell anyone whether you were in favor of putting the WM contract out to bid, “If I say anything it would get back to the other commissioners and I would be violating the Sunshine laws”

However, at your campaign website, there is a 7/27 article written by Ron Bukley of the Town Crier. He questioned you on Delray being scrutinized by the OIG for not getting competitive bids on the WM contract. Your quoted response is as follows: “My vote would be to bid it out, not because of the OIG saying so, but just because we’ve had the same contract for a long time.” Is that a campaign promise that you will renege on it after the 8/14 election? I’ll bet you do. We know you have reneged on campaign promises in the past. Remember, the “efficiency plan” you promised in your 2009 Mayoral campaign that you never delivered?

So, either you have been misquoted or you have violated the Sunshine Laws? Assuming the former, please advise what you actually said to the reporter who misquoted you.
