Red Broward + Stephanie Kraft + Shelly Solomon + Cash – Disclaimers = blasting of Abby Freedman. (Comments)

TOP STORIES --

It’s a weird political season for the right-wing fucknuts.

Mitt Romney‘s back from the dead, Allen West is heading towards the River Styx, and the folks over at RedBroward are (deceptively behind the scenes for hire) supporting a local Democrat running for the Broward County School Board.

You see, about two weeks ago, School Board candidate Shelly Solomon paid Chris Leggatt $450 for “communications” work, as per the Broward Supervisor of Elections  website:

Sep 01, 2012
Chris Leggatt
4770 NE 22nd Ave
Lighthouse Point, Fl 33064
$450.00
Communications

Leggatt, one of the authors of RedBroward, in turn has been taking lots of shots at Abby Freedman.

Why, just this Sunday, Leggatt’s blog posted this picture of Freedman (see above).

MAOS: Hopefully, Team Leggatt will invest some of that cash into Photoshop lessons.

Then there’s the curious case of poll workers.

See, Gentle Reader, when you review Solomon’s campaign expenses, you note a flurry of $100 checks. We opine that to be cash paid to her poll workers.

All above board.

But, here’s the rub (aka… er…. $450 worth of happy endings) — RedBroward has lambasted Freedman for hiring poll working helpers (homeless people, by the way), but no such retort from them regarding Solomon’s similar actions.

MAOS: Why, that’s all part of our $450 Deluxe Golden Package! Hell for another $100, we’ll even throw in a cardboard cut out of us hugging Obama.

We note that Freedman’s campaign is self-funded, compared to Solomon and her source of donations — demonstrating clear evidence of the Board’s toxic ways and means.

So friends, what have we learned here? Here’s my take.

  1. While not illegal, I’d hope (silly boy Chaz!) RedBroward would at least disclose they’re a paid gun for hire.
  2. What does that say about the Tea Party’s hate-the-libs-at-all costs mentality? I guess all costs < $450.
  3. I thought that RedBroward was all about “good, clean government.” What then about backing a contender (Solomon) who’s main supporter is Kraft? I guess, if you lived in Italy in WWII and sold piano wire, you’d not be all that tough on Mussolini.

In summation:

  1. Solomon should be ashamed. She won’t be, but she should.
  2. RedBroward will whore themselves, and the Tea Party can be bought, for a couple of hundred bucks.

Since RedBroward clearly is deceptive in their writing, everyone needs to question all of their motivations — including their stance on the upcoming Sheriff’s race.

MAOS: Hey Chris, how much did Al pay you?

Do you trust RedBroward?

I don’t. And neither should you.

Update:

About an hour ago, I sent Solomon this email:

I’d love to speak to you … I’ve got a great idea on how to help your campaign!

And, amazingly enough, Solomon gave me a call. All happy and friendly she was, just getting ready to go campaigning. As Mom used to say, “sorry doesn’t cut the cheese”, so when confronted about the $450 payment, Solomon’s responses included:

  1. Uh…. Duh…. Uh… Who are you again?
  2. Chris sent out some mailers for me.
  3. I… Well… I… Who are you again?
  4. I’ll need to call Chris and … who is this?

When I drilled down into “mailers you say … can I get one”, she quickly backtracked. If you call bumbling, stumbling, fumbling backtracking.

Busted baby! Let’s see what the FEC thinks about this.

And so ends Solomon’s Quest for the Gold. Kindly turn the lights off when you leave.
