LAUDERDALE LAKES --

John Scott
Broward Office of Inspector General

via email

Hey Mr. Scott;

In the upcoming day or two, you can expect me to forward another complaint to your office. Kindly file this under “more shit that Allen’s trying to get away with.”

You see, my good chum, over the last year, the thing that’s bothered me the most is the apathy I’ve found (outside of your Office) regarding the actions of Lauderdale Lakes City Manager Jon Allen.

I’ve tried Tallahassee. Due to politicking from Hazelle “Who Me? Under Criminal Investigation?” Rogers, they’ve looked the other way.

Same thing with the Broward State Attorney’s Office — though some progress is being made on that front, as it’s my understanding the Miami-Dade SAO may be investigating. Anybody but Satz has a nice ring to it.

I’ve given up on the Sun-Sentinel (who’s Editorial Board recommends Romney, Russell, Williams, and the such). Yes, my friend, I agree with you — they must be high.

But, as Elgin Jones has taught me, I don’t worry about outcome. I do my job, hoping that others up the chain will do theirs. And as Fane Lozman so eloquently stated, “corruption fighting isn’t for the meek.”

Which returns us back and leads us to my upcoming complaint.

It’s kinda more of the same. Allen and company (aka the infamous MoronEconomics Elianor) are once again at it – pinching money from Special Assessment funds and keeping those transfers off the books.

That’s not legal right? I mean, that’s not legal to misuse restricted assessment funds and then to go all nutty hiding it from us (well, me).

Unfortunately, I am guessing that Allen gets embolden by the lack of action taken against his tomfoolery. He’s got a Commission that could not get laid in a whorehouse with $5,000 hanging out of their pocket, a State Attorney’s Office notorious for their lack of gumption, and Tallahassee scared into inaction.

Which leaves, I guess, just the Broward Office of Inspector General and the MAOS Office of Genius. Fair deal. Glad to be along for the ride.

So with this, I will take me leave. Stand by for a document floating your way this week.

As always, I stand ready to assist and eagerly await the punting of Allen in his man sack.

Happy Hunting.
