On being Chaz Stevens.
When I was nailing Al Capellini, the knock on me was, “You just repackaged Bob Norman‘s stuff.” True, but without my complaint, Al would still be in office.
Then came Steve Gonot – similar knock that I didn’t really do anything… But, without my email to the SAO mid-trial, Steve would have gone free.
Next up, Sylvia Poitier. All my work, but in the end, they say, “It was just a little old black lady.”
I cleared out the DBHA, shut down the Mango, put a stop to the unfettered handout of public money, NAILED Pastor Anthony Davis right in his ball sack. I took away Terry Scott‘s power, had Brad Chalker fired, sent Gerri Brown packing, and so forth, and so on.
Along the way, I appeared on the front pages of the Miami Herald, Washington Post, Roll Call, Daily Caller, Poytner… I’ve appeared in over 100 articles. On the radio. On TV. I was nominated to the prestigious Florida First Amendment Foundation, and the world famous forensic auditing firm Kessler Int’l named an award after me, “The Chaz.” I was the 2010 NT Best of Gadfly.
No one listens to me they say. No one pays me any attention. Apparently those very “same people” have access to my Rolodex and call logs. Seems though, they missed the calls from the FDLE, SAO, DOJ, US Dept of Ed., HUD, Palm Beach OIG, Broward OIG, Broward SAO, Miami Dade SAO, BSO, ranking members of the Florida Senate. Senior US Senators.
People in charge want to talk to me. They want my research, like to know what I am thinking, and are interested in who I think needs to be investigated.
Members of the media answer my calls. Powerful politicians reach out to me.
So here’s the deal. To the trolls of the world, there’s no way I can be taken seriously. No way people in charge would ever listen to me. I’m a crackpot.
In the end, I am holding my head high, because I’ve got some stalkers.
