Did Jean Robb trade her vote for a job?

So, earlier this week, a tipster forwarded this email to me:

Dear Concerned Deerfield Beach resident or business owner.

We are the *Original Deerfield Beach Solutions*, a group of life-long city residents and like-minded individuals once heavily involved in the town’s politics.

Having witnessed the myriad of misinformation and rumors, we intend to redirect the discussion by delivering the facts, allowing you to decide for yourself.

Please share with your friends, colleagues, and family.

Included with that email was this amazing attachment — a fax from then-private citizen Jean Robb to City Manager Larry Deetjen.

[gview file=”https://www.myactsofsedition.com/wp-content/uploads/robb-2005-job-fax.pdf”]

As you read, the time frame was 2005, and for those unaware, that was another incendiary moment in the city’s past. Deetjen, under fire from the Commission and struggling to keep his job, found comfort in the City Charter which required a super majority (4-1 or 5-0) vote to terminate his contract.

Heading up the Fuck Deetjen campaign was ethically challenged and convicted felon Steve Gonot, who concocted a Machiavellian plan — a charter change which would nix the super majority, replacing it with a regular majority (3-2).

Wait for it.

Wait for it.

Wait for it.

Heading the Charter Review committee?  Jean Robb.

This fax, and we’re told there’s much so more to come, shows Robb gaming the system, possibly trading her vote for a job. A job, as you can see, she was customizing for herself.

  • $10/hr became $15
  • Tossed out the bi-lingual requirement
  • Basically rewrote the job, as Robb didn’t like the senior center (in her own words, not her cup of tea).

Rest assured, if Robb did indeed trade her vote for a dollar, that’s quite illegal in today’s workplace.  Sure, this happened a decade+ ago, but it should cement in your mind Robb’s attitude … that is fuck you all, it’s mine.

Here are two emails we sent on this subject:

To the Deerfield Beach City Commission (and Jean Robb):

Your Time is Nigh.

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with the Broward State Attorney’s Office, in particular the new prosecutor handling the multiple Jean Robb investigations.

Oh, let me say … I was wicked pleased with what I learned.

Dress accordingly fucker. It’s coming, and soon. Very fucking soon.

Think I’m full of shit? Ask other past arrested elected officials in Deerfield Beach about me.

To David Schulson, Broward County State Attorney’s Office

Via email: Hey Mr. Schulson

I hear you are looking over the shoulder of the Robb investigation. That makes me very happy.

I’m also led to believe a decision to move forward will be coming soon — that’s good news, after R. Kelly sat on the file for years.

Robb’s a racist shitheel, and I hope you hold her accountable for her actions.

PS Remind Whitney that it was my attendance to the Gonot trial, and that email to you late in the game regarding Steve’s flight to Vegas, that sealed his fate.
