Can we all just agree to stop the charade that this argument is about life at all? This is about controlling women. It is not about life or the law or neuroscience or religion, it is about controlling women.
If it was about life and sentient beings, you would all be talking about poverty, about prenatal care, about euthanasia, about nutrition, about smoking, about disease, about ear piecing, about circumcision, about capital punishment, about animals and air quality; you’re not, you’re taking about what women can and can’t do with their own bodies.
Now, I am 100% positive that many men, myself included, believe that life is about more than just the 40 weeks spent inside a woman’s uterus … all the rest is just a slight of hand.
