Don’t be swayed. Stay the course. Kick them right in the nuts.

Rogers doesn't want an investigation because that might add evidence to her criminal activity.

I am certain Rogers does not want any further investigation into the town's CRA, as that might uncover more of her shenanigans. I suggest a new rule -- one cannot argue against an audit, if that audit involves you taking handouts, grift, graft, payouts, and or payola.

Score 160,000 (dollars) for the average Lauderdale Lakes schmo!

The city's holding a special meeting (Monday, March 18) ... on the agenda, STOP THAT FUCKING AUDIT! The city's game plan is send a letter to the LAC and Auditor General (remember Welcome Back Kotter's Epstein's note from Mom?) saying, "Look homey, it's all good. We've checked the numbers out three times on our Hello Kitty calculator."

OpEd: What Are They Hiding by Aletheia Drakos

If they have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide...why do they fear a State audit?

Jon Allen is desperately trying to prevent a full audit from occurring. What does that tell you? He is not alone. His college fraternity brother, City Commissioner and former CRA Chair, Eric Haynes, is also doing his best to squash it.

No need to worry. Jon's got in under control!

To date, the CRA and City have taken deliberate corrective steps to resolve all issues related to the past use of CRA funds, including but not limited to conducting an external CRA Audit, cooperating with a previous Joint State Legislative Audit, executing a CRA/City forbearance agreement for the City to repay all funds due to the CRA, upgrading City/CRA financial procedures and protocols etc.

Hugs and Kisses Jon Allen And Hazelle. Happy Valentines Day.

Broward County to launch a separate audit of Lauderdale Lakes?

Chaz Stevens, MAOS, Activist, Gadfly

We loan and front them millions of dollars, can't we at least run a credit check?

The Lauderdale Lakes Library/Educational and Cultural Center -- and here's where I think we'll find the Wonka Golden ticket. The County used very restrictive bond money to build the facility (County paid for the first floor and the LL CRA built the second floor). The County was to take deed to the Library, emphasis "was", as Broward could not/probably still cannot now take ownership due to the parking lot issue.

OpEd: We decided to look further.

It is just that the Commissioners do not read and the Mayor signs off on anything.

What is not said- Kessler in the forensic audit wanted to go deeper but they shut him off. Letter mentions 3 employees involved in the use of funds no longer employed. City fired former CM Fain Taylor for lack of confidence-nothing to do with the CRA. Former Asst FD Latoya Cason (who admitted doing the transfers) was let go just days before the Kessler audit came forward so they could say- she did it end of story. How is that forthcoming on the CRA?

Allow me to retort with a couple of solid reasons why this audit needs to move forward.

As to the technical contents of the Lauderdale Lakes reply, here’s our rebuttal.

Maybe by now, you may have received the City of Lauderdale Lakes response to Commissioner Stacy Ritter’s audit request. If you haven’t, their answer was something along the lines of, “Nothing to see here. Move along. We don’t want anyone else digging around, that might cause someone to get locked up. Oh, and Chaz blows.”
