One wonders if State Rep. ($) Hazelle Rogers kicked all/any/NFW of the $50,000 earned as a (cough) city lobbyist on the the Dwight Stevenson contract to the Farm project. What $50,000 bribe, you say? You remember this, don’t you? Farm the work out to Dwight’s company, earn a $50,000 stipend under the table? We wonder … just how deep is the Rogers/Jon Allen connection? Keep in mind the Library parking lot issue, where Allen had to get it done at all costs. No matter what laws were broken. L Lakes H Rogers Food Dist 3
Florida Legislators Honored with 2013 Legislative Appreciation Awards The Florida League of Cities honored the following Florida legislators with Legislative Appreciation Awards for their tireless efforts to protect the home rule powers of Florida’s cities by supporting the League’s legislative agenda during the 2013 legislative session. *** Wonder how Hazelle Rogers received this award? She is under investigation for pressuring Dwight Stevenson to pay $50k for lobbying efforts for the Library project for the City of Lauderdale Lakes that she represented as a Commissioner at the same time and also not reporting it to the IRS. The League of Cities awards for this type of activity? Let’s give them a break and say they did not know. But now they shall…
Seems that Daniel Sohn‘s finally got himself a job; he’s a paid intern (with the formidable job title of OPS District Secretary) for noted Moral Compass, Hazelle Rogers (D-$). Hey, stop that snickering! As OPS District Secretary, Miss Moneypenny is an employee of the Florida House. But don’t get yerself too worked up, as his position is the lowest of the low (but expect Sohn to make it seem otherwise). OPSers are temporary employees with no state benefits, limited to 40 hours a week, and receive no comp time, vacation, or other benefits. Sohn’s salary is paid from the Members Exchange Account (MEA) — a personal slush fund for unapproved travel, staff, Office Depot, newsletters, and condoms. And now the good news! As a House “staffer”, Sohn is bound by State ethics law. Says my House insider, “All you got to prove is this bozo took a free cup of water and he’s toast.” So given Sohn’s pathological lying ways, $500 to the first person who provides me with actionable evidence Moneypenny violated Florida Ethics law.
Lies, lies, and more lies. When will Daniel Sohn ever stop? If you turn towards Committeeman Daniel Sohn’s Facebook “fan” page, you’ll learn about his work info: Employer: Florida House of Representatives Position: OPS District Secretary Ha, right! Sohn’s a gov’t employee? Bullshit, exactly! *** Wondering what other nonsense this turd has floated, I launched the following PRR: 02/10/14 10:31 PM To the Honorable Hazelle P. Rogers; The following is a request for public information: For the last year, emails between Rep. Rogers and Daniel Sohn. Any information regarding Sohn’s position of “OPS District Secretary”.
About two years ago, I filed a criminal complaint against Lauderdale Lakes City Manager Jon Allen (based on an OIG investigation) alleging felony bid splitting. Citing conflicts, Broward State Attorney Michael Satz forwarded the case file to the Miami-Dade District Attorney. And there is seemingly sat… Until… About three weeks ago (just before the Festivus Pole blew up my world), the Miami-Dade SAO investigator called to tell me they’re “moving forward” against Allen. A letter of invitation will be sent his way — come talk your way out of it (which he will probably smartly decline). And then, I’d assume, to the Grand Jury for an indictment. Or perhaps, skip that step and go directly to charging the rat bastard. My attorney with the Jean Robb lawsuit, David A. Frankel, who worked for the Broward SAO for two decades, informed me when cases usually get to this point, it means Allen’s probably in lots of hot water. Hoozah! To the uninitiated, the Lauderdale Lakes tale is very complicated… Nerdy, technical, hard to follow at times. I’ve logged an ungodly number of hours breaking it down. Involves Hazelle Rogers, Dwight Stephenson, Eric Haynes, and other members straight out of Central Casting. … Read More
“Man is not what he thinks he is, he is what he hides.” * We’ve quietly watched former (lasted three weeks) Dania Beach candidate Daniel Sohn from the sidelines, admittedly mesmerized by the kid’s ability to sling the bullshit waist deep. Like watching a slow-moving train wreck. You see friends, with Sohn, deception and duplicity rule the day … like his Nov. 13 Facebook post: It was Great to see My Friends and Colleagues Rep. Hazelle Rogers, Rep. Katie Edwards, Rep. Shevrin Jones, Representative Jared Moskowitz, Rep. Richard Stark, Rep. Elaine Schwartz, Rep. Jim Waldman, Senator Eleanor Sobel, Cocunut Creek City Commissioner and Broward Legislative Delegation Executive Director Lisa Aronson. Notice how Sohn refers to them as his colleagues? They’re his colleagues how? Early similar to the time he abused the Broward School Board Member Katie Leach‘s largesse. In the end, we suppose Sohn fashions himself a mover and shaker. Hint: Not. He spins, twists, and distorts the truth. Case in point, Sohn’s educational background. During his whither-and-die-on-the vine run for the Dania Beach City Commission, Sohn indicated to us he was a mere couple of hours from his degree in “Non-Profit Management” from a local college. Then well, according … Read More
Previously the CRA purchased the Ireland Property from the City at an inflated price and with no identified use. Now the CRA is leasing the property back to the City. And at no cost?? WTF over… And Item 12C- Broward Meat and Fish making a donation to the Jon Allen/Gary Rogers Memorial Garden? Hold the presses, remember Broward Meat and Fish received that huge grant from the CRA for façade improvements. Is it me or is this starting to smell like past CRA experiences- i.e.- Hazelle Rogers and Dwight Stevenson on the Library/Education and Cultural Center and a certain $50k payout to Rogers.
