RE: Complaint against Deerfield Beach Civil Service Pension Board Chairman Wayne Miller
I hereby file a complaint with your office alleging Deerfield Beach Civil Service Pension Board Chairman Wayne Miller has willfully and intentionally violated:
119.07 Inspection and copying of records; photographing public records; fees; exemptions.—
(1)(a) Every person who has custody of a public record shall permit the record to be inspected and copied by any person desiring to do so, at any reasonable time, under reasonable conditions, and under supervision by the custodian of the public records.
(f) If requested by the person seeking to inspect or copy the record, the custodian of public records shall state in writing and with particularity the reasons for the conclusion that the record is exempt or confidential.
I submit Miller has intentionally ignored my repeated public records requests for emails.
- In October 2013, I requested, “emails sent to/from Wayne Miller, Civil Service Pension Board member.”
- Over the next three months, I sent numerous requests to the City, seeking record production.
- I have numerous telephone conversations with City Attorney Andrew Maurodis regarding Miller’s non-production.
I therefore respectfully request that your agency thoroughly investigates my allegation and to the extent permitted by State or local law or regulations, any and all penalties, sanctions, or other disciplinary actions for violations of such standards be applied forthwith.
