The iron in our blood, and the iron found in meteorites have a common origin in the core of a star. As Carl Sagan said, we are made of star stuff.
Humans are star dust, not stamped out of clay on the 6th day.
Do you realize that gold and platinum you are wearing was forged deep inside a star? And it came here to Earth through a super nova explosion? Stop for a moment and think how f***ing cool that is.
When it has exhausted its supply of hydrogen, a star can die in a violent explosion, called a nova. Such a stellar explosion throws a large cloud of dust and gas into space. The material from a supernova eventually disperses throughout interstellar space.
Carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atoms in our bodies, as well as atoms of all other heavy elements, were created in previous generations of stars over 4.5 billion years ago.
That gold ring of yours is billions of years old. Not 6,000 years… Billions, with a B.
Why do you need a god, the bible, or faith when you have that?
F***ing awesome. AWESOME.
Think Moby said it best.
